The question of this client from the international banking sector with branches in all continents, was to help with the optimal direction of a 'physical security model' within the entire organization. This model includes the already developed corporate policy, centrally developed 'tools' such as a risk analysis model and a design and measures model, but also decentralized preferred suppliers and an audit model. All of this includes a responsibility matrix, so that at the corporate, central, regional and decentralized levels the own responsibility is clear. The aim is to identify risks in as uniform a manner as possible and to be able to take appropriate mitigating measures accordingly.
We, as a team of consultants from our consulting firms R&T Belgium and R&T Consultancy, used our expertise to work out possible models (with a preferred model) including the associated tasks, responsibilities and the advantages and disadvantages at the strategic/tactical/operational level of the model concerned.
After presentation and discussion of the possible solutions, we concluded our assignment. The result of our assignment offered the client's internal organization the opportunity to further elaborate our proposals.
